I was watching a documentary about gang life a while ago where a gentleman was interviewed and he was asked what he was afraid of. He replied, 'I ain't scared of shit except God, the po-lice, and my mama.' Hearing this struck me because those were the only things I was afraid of too.
After these discoveries I made about my true identity, "Who is like God?" took on a whole new meaning to me because now I wholeheartedly feel that— I am. That you are. That in reality, God is all there is.
I definitely had no awareness of it at the time but the underlying reason why I loved to be looked at was because I'd never truly felt seen and so, I couldn't know the difference between the two.
